Polypodium leucotomos
Polypodium leucotomos, a tropical fern, provides photoprotective benefits against sun damage by acting as an antioxidant. It reduces UV-induced oxidative stress, sunburn cell formation, and DNA damage while helping maintain skin collagen, elasticity, and hydration.
Nicotinamide
Nicotinamide, or vitamin B3, can help manage chronic sun damage by enhancing DNA repair and reducing UV-induced immunosuppression. This supplementation has been shown to reduce non-melanoma skin cancers and actinic keratoses for those with past skin cancer. Its anti-inflammatory properties might mitigate sun-induced inflammation and improve skin hydration and resilience, offering protection against environmental stressors.
