Mesotherapy, (also called “Skin Boosters”) is the technique of delivering active ingredients to a specific target via superficial injection with either syringe or multi-needle injector gun or device (as pictured here).
We use a variety of mesotherapy-specific sterile ampoules to make an impact on pigmentation concerns, photodamage, atrophy, epidermal & dermal degradation & in conjunction with hair restoration with EmCyte Pure PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). This is a minimally invasive treatment that has zero downtime. A thorough consultation is needed to assess your needs & suitability for the delivery method required.
The active ingredients used in this method can be enzymes, hormones & medications, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, peptides, PRP and/or natural plant extracts. There are different injection techniques with this method including:
Intra-epidermal technique, where ingredients and actives remain in the epidermis and not going beyond the basal layer (0.25mm)
The papular technique aims at the junction between epidermis and dermis for active delivery of nutrients (0.5mm)
The nappage method, where ingredients are injected into the papillary dermis (0.6-1.0mm), and lastly,
The point-by-point injection method into the reticular dermis reserved for PRP therapy (1.5-4mm) (El-Domyati et al., 2013).
