Mesotherapy The Dermal Health Alliance Coffs Harbour.jpg

Mesotherapy, (also called “Skin Boosters”) is the technique of delivering active ingredients to a specific target via superficial injection with either syringe or multi-needle injector gun or device (as pictured here).

We use a variety of mesotherapy-specific sterile ampoules to make an impact on pigmentation concerns, photodamage, atrophy, epidermal & dermal degradation & in conjunction with hair restoration with EmCyte Pure PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). This is a minimally invasive treatment that has zero downtime. A thorough consultation is needed to assess your needs & suitability for the delivery method required.

The active ingredients used in this method can be enzymes, hormones & medications, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, peptides, PRP and/or natural plant extracts. There are different injection techniques with this method including:

  1. Intra-epidermal technique, where ingredients and actives remain in the epidermis and not going beyond the basal layer (0.25mm)

  2. The papular technique aims at the junction between epidermis and dermis for active delivery of nutrients (0.5mm)

  3. The nappage method, where ingredients are injected into the papillary dermis (0.6-1.0mm), and lastly,

  4. The point-by-point injection method into the reticular dermis reserved for PRP therapy (1.5-4mm) (El-Domyati et al., 2013).

The skin conditions indicated for Mesotherapy are the following:

  • melasma, hyperpigmentation, Poikiloderma of Civatte or dyschromia

  • skin laxity

  • sun damage & premature aging concerns (face & body)

  • dynamic & static rhytids (wrinkles)

  • scarring

  • scalp restoration & hair growth

  • lack-lustre skin (dull, dry/dehydrated or sluggish)

  • general preventative & regenerative strategy for healthy skin

Mesotherapy & Skin boosters

The Dermal Health Alliance/Skin Rehab™ uses specialised, multi-needle syringes or stamping devices for mesotherapy & skin boosters. The purpose of “stamping” active ingredients into the epidermis is for superior product penetration of specific ampoules to target individual indications. This method of needling has benefits for all pigmentation disorders, superficial scarring, telangiectasis, fragile skin, barrier impairment, sluggish and sun damaged skin, dry skin conditions, lines and wrinkles and actinic keratosis.

In the medical arena, mesotherapy can also be used to assist in the transcutaneous delivery of medications & for regenerative medicine, intradermal bio-stimulation of dermal tissue resulting in collagen formation & optimising metabolic processes.
